Easy Baked Chicken
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts pounded to even thickness
- 1 tbsp. melted butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. pepper
- ½ tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. smoked paprika
Instructions
- Begin by heating your oven to 450°F and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper. If the chicken has not been brined, then brine the chicken breast by mixing ¼ cup of salt in 1 quart of warm water. Allow the chicken breasts to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing them in cold water and patting dry with paper towels.
- Next, combine all of the seasonings until well mixed, then set aside. Then brush both sides of the chicken with melted butter before sprinkling the seasoning mix on both sides of the chicken. Bake the chicken for 15-18 minutes. The chicken should measure 165° at its thickest part when it's done cooking. When the chicken is done, remove from the oven and transfer to serving platter. Tent with foil and allow the chicken to rest for a minimum of 15 minutes. Then serve and enjoy!
