Baked In Foil Salmon Recipe 01: Garlic Brown Sugar Glaze Salmon
This is a widespread family favorite! The garlic and brown sugar play off each other to create a deep flavor that pairs perfectly with a good salmon fillet. You can serve this dish with a fresh salad or steamed vegetables. The lemon is an important piece here because the acid will help to soften the fish and lift the flavor.
Garlic Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon
- 2 lb Salmon
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- ¼ c. brown sugar
- ¼ c. soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. pepper
- Start by heating your oven to 350°F and lining a baking sheet with foil. Place the salmon on the foil and season with salt and pepper. Next, mix together the oil, sugar, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, additional salt and pepper until combined. Then pour the glaze of the top of salmon and seal the foil around the salmon.
- Bake the salmon for about 20-25 minutes. The salmon should not be translucent but opaque. Open the sealed packet and baste the salmon with the glaze. Then broil for 3-5 minutes so that the top caramelizes. Last, garnish with lemon slices if desired and serve!
