Super Powders…No Cape Needed

January 4, 2019 by Jillian Parkinson Leave a Comment

If you’re looking for a great way to add in a little more to your morning smoothies, then look no further than Superfood powders! These are powdered roots, berries, etc. with some pretty amazing punch in the nutrient corner. So, which one do you choose? I think it depends on the benefits you’re looking for and what type of smoothies you want to make. Because while some of these are pretty mild, a few of them are a little…thicker than I like with my morning beverage.

As with all things natural, most of the info I have isn’t backed up by any published scientific journals. So, proceed at your own risk, be careful, and include your doctor in any major life changes or dietary supplements.

Moringa: This is the first Super Powder we are going to introduce today! You can get it from Amazon here, or your local health food store. Moringa hails from the area in and around India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the tropics. It’s a super useful powder because it’s so full of antioxidants and it doesn’t look like its properties when it’s dried and ground. This is a great powder for helping to lower cholesterol, manage your digestion, and stabilize blood sugar. It also has a pleasantly nutty taste, so it works well in fruit smoothies like this one:
