New Year’s is just around the corner, and with that comes the tried and true New Year’s Resolutions! If you’re looking to turn the corner and life your best life, then there really is no better way than sober living. Studies back it up as one of the best ways to improve your overall health. So, how do you user in the new year while already making the change? With these awesome sober living non-alcoholic drinks!
It’s important that you have a way to serve your drinks. Having a stylish pitcher or drink dispenser is a must. This copper pitcher is sure to be a hit at any party! If you want a dispenser so that guests can help themselves, then you can’t go wrong with this glass dispenser. It’ll be sure to liven up any gathering, plus it’s kid friendly.
Now that you’ve got your dispenser/pitcher situation handled, it’s important to have great glassware. Just because you’re embracing sober living doesn’t mean that you have to give up the feel of a nice cocktail. This blush pink glassware set is darling and a great way to set off any mocktail.
Once you’ve got your drink ware settled, it’s time for the actual drinks! A few things about these drinks, they can get sort of sugar heavy, so if you find them too sweet, then opt for a club soda or seltzer base. I promise, it’s worth it.
Option 1: Glow Water
If you’re looking for a solid drink that is both fun and flavorful, then this is it! It’s also super customizable.
Ingredients:
- 3 cans seltzer water
- Cucumber Mint: 1 cucumber cut into 1/2″ rounds, 3 sprigs mint, 1 thinly sliced lemon
- Peach Ginger: 1 sliced peach, skinned and sliced ginger cut into rounds, 1 cinnamon stick
- Strawberry Lime: 3 halved strawberries, 1 thinly sliced lime
Process: Simply combine the seltzer water with your chosen ingredients. It’s best if you muddle them a little to release the flavor, then serve immediately or chill until ready to drink.
Option 2: Mango Lemonade
This is a great spring/summer beverage. But if you’re looking to really liven up your New Year’s, then it’s also a good curveball to throw your guests.
Ingredients:
- Start with your favorite lemonade recipe (this can be from scratch or a powder)
- 1-2 Tbsp. mango puree per drink
- 1 thinly sliced lime
- mint springs for garnish
Process: Either make your lemonade from scratch or from a powder/concentrate. You can allow the guests to add their own mango puree, or prep your drinks ahead of time by adding 1-2 Tbsp. puree in the bottom of each glass, then topping with lemonade. Garnish with a thinly sliced lime and mint sprig. If you’d like to really round out the flavor, feel free to muddle the ingredients a little bit.
Option 3: Popsicle Mocktail
Talk about a beautiful drink! This is a great one that you can mix and match easily. The main idea is that you’re using a popsicle instead of ice cubes-so no watered down drinks!
Ingredients:
- 4 c. lemon lime soda
- 4 c. lemonade
- 1 can seltzer
- 1 c. sliced strawberries, plus more for garnish
- 2 mangoes cubed, with more for garnish
- 3 strawberry popsicles
- 3 mango popsicles
Process: In a large pitcher, combine the first 5 ingredients. Muddle a little bit to release the flavor. Pour the mixture into glasses and serve with a popsicle and fruit for garnish! You can also make this an iced coffee mocktail by replacing the soda/fruit mixture with your favorite iced coffee and placing either a creamy vanilla, chocolate, or caramel popsicle inside!
Option 4: Lime Zinger
If you need a little more pep in your punch, then adding in something fun like an energy drink is a great option.
Ingredients:
- 2 strips of cucumbers
- 3 lime wheels
- ice
- Red Bull Lime Edition
- White grape juice
- Strawberry halves
Process: In your cup toss in the cucumbers, lime, and ice. Then, add in 4 parts Red Bull to 1 part white grape juice (essentially 1 can with 1/4 c. white grape juice). Garnish that baby with strawberry halves and serve!
