Summer might be over, but that doesn’t mean that your summer recipes have to go away! Some of my family’s favorite summer meals are tin foil dinners. We love driving up the canyon and cooking them over a campfire. Nothing tastes better than fresh air, delicious food, and a quick clean up. Just because those balmy summer nights are over doesn’t mean you have to put away the tin foil dinners for the year! If fall tends to be a little too chilly to hang out in the mountains, then you can always cook tin foil dinners in your own kitchen. What’s great about a tin foil dinner is that they don’t require a lot of prep and they definitely don’t require a lot of clean up, both of which are amazing in my book!
If you don’t want to use your oven, then you can always make these dinners in a grill like this or this. And if you don’t want to take the time to cut your tin foil into sheets, you can totally use these instead! Not only will they save time, but they will also make clean up a lot quicker.
So, if you want to cook something a little festive this week, try serving up tin foil dinners. Not only are they great for kids and adults, but they are sure to serve up a heaping dish of family fun as well!
