Slow-Cooker Apple Cider

Relax and let your slow-cooker do all the work for you while you curl up with a good book and a hot cup of this delicious drink!

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Gala apples (cored and quartered)
  • 4 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. whole cloves
  • 1 tsp. whole allspice
  • 10 c. water
  • ½ c. brown sugar

Method
 

  1. Begin by placing the apples into the slow cooker. Then add in the cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice, and ten cups of water.
  2. Cook the mixture on "High" for 3 hours.
  3. Next, mash the apples with a potato masher before adding in the brown sugar and cooking for an additional 1-3 hours on "Low".
  4. Last, strain the solids from the liquids using a mesh sieve or cheesecloth. Discard the solids and serve the cider hot!
