Have I mentioned how much I love salads? Because I do. Having a good dressing is what makes or breaks a salad in my opinion, and sometimes homemade is best. It’s a really great idea to have some solid containers so you don’t end up using tupperware to store all your dressings. This is a great option, it’s basic and really versatile. These are great for on-the-go because they’re plastic and a little more portable. Regardless of what you use, you can’t go wrong making your own dressings!
Basic Ranch Dressing: You really need a solid ranch dressing. It’s versatile, creamy, and perfect on a lot of salads. This recipe is easy to pull together and a great DIY salad dressing.
Honey Mustard Salad Dressing: This is a great DIY salad dressing, and it’s got a nice tang to it. It’s light, healthy, and super easy to put together.
Italian Salad Dressing: This is perfect for a light salad and as a companion to a pasta dish. It also doubles well as a sauce with chicken if you’re in the mood for something more substantial.
Greek Yogurt Blue Cheese Dressing: I love blue cheese. On steak, salad, you name it. This is a creamy, tangy, flavorful dressing that is very versatile. Unless you don’t like blue cheese…then there’s more for me. 🙂
Balsamic Vinaigrette: This is also a salad staple. It’s great with tomatoes and a spring mix salad.
All of these dressings come together seamlessly and are simply shaker-ready. If you find that you like a creamier dressing, throw it into a food processor or a blender and blend until your desired consistency. It’s a perfect way to control your content and create some healthy and organic dressings.
Happy Salads!
