Recipe 01: Caramel Apple Crumb Bars
Fabulous with flavor and simply dripping with texture, these bars can’t be beaten.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 oz. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. Greek yogurt
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- Filling: 1 c. Dulce de Leche, 2 large apples
- Streusel Topping: 1/2 stick unsalted butter, 1/2 c. flour, 1 Tbsp sugar
Process:
Begin by using a fork to mix the streusel toppings together until you have a crumbly texture, then set aside. Next, wash and cut the apples into quarters, removing any seeds. Then grate the apples into a medium-sized bowl using a grater (like this one), and set aside. After preparing the apples, make the crust. Begin by beating the butter, sugar, and egg together until light and creamy. Then add in the Greek yogurt and mix until combined. Last, mix in the flour, cinnamon, and soda until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Then heat your oven to 350F and line a 9×13 or 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.
Before baking, pour the prepared batter into the baking dish. Carefully spread the caramel over the batter before adding the grated apples and streusel topping. Bake for about an hour or until the crust is cooked through. Remove from the oven and serve with a scoop of ice cream if desired!

Warm and packed full of fall flavor, these are great for a busy morning or a relaxing evening.
Ingredients:
- Crumb Topping: 3 Tbsp. sugar, 3 Tbsp. brown sugar, 1/2 + 3 Tbsp. flour, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 5 Tbsp. melted butter
- Glaze: 1 c. powdered sugar, 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 c. peeled and chopped (or grated) apples
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 4 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/4 c. canola oil
- 1 c. milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Process:
Start by heating your oven to 425F and prepping a muffin tin (like this one) with non-stick spray. Next, make the crumb topping by mixing together the sugar, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a bowl before adding in the melted butter and mixing until a crumb texture forms, then set aside. Then it’s time for the muffins! Begin by mixing the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together until completely combined. In a separate bowl whisk the sugar, eggs, melted butter, and oil until mixed well before whisking in the milk and vanilla. Next, mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined before folding in the apples.
Spoon the muffin mixture into the muffin tins until almost full and top with crumb topping before baking for about 18-20 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the middle should come out clean. When the muffins are done, remove from the oven and allow to cool before adding a glaze. To make the glaze, simply whisk the powdered sugar and milk together.
Recipe 03: Apple Rose Tart
This dessert is not only a feast for the taste buds but also for the eyes. Beautiful and flavorful, this is perfect for entertaining.
Ingredients:
- 3 large Pink Lady apples, cored and sliced thinly
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. apple pie spice
- 1 /4 c. + 2 Tbsp. sugar, divided
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt, divided
- 1 pkg. spice cookies (Biscoff)
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter, grated or cut up
- 1 eg white
- 1 pkg. cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. apple jelly, melted
Process:
Start by heating your oven to 350F and prepping the apples. Mix the apples with the brown sugar, apple pie spice, 1/4 c. sugar and 3/4 tsp. salt in a medium-sized bowl and allow to sit for at least 45 minutes, mixing gently every 15 minutes, so that the apples become soft and bendy.
While the apples are softening, crush the cookies (either by hand or in a food processor) before adding the melted butter, egg white, and remaining sugar and salt. Mix until completely combined before pressing into the bottom and sides of a 10″ tart pan (grab one here). Bake the crust until it just begins to brown, which should take 10-12 minutes. Allow the crust to completely cool before proceeding on to the next steps.
When the crust is cooled, cream together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Then spread this mixture onto the bottom of the crust. Next, drain the apples before arranging them in a rose pattern starting at the outside and working your way in. When the rose is finished, sprinkle the grated butter over the top and bake for about 45 minutes or until the apples are tender. Allow the tart to cool completely (at least an hour) before brushing with apple jelly. Serve and enjoy!
Now, get into the kitchen, apron up, and get baking one of these fall desserts! You won’t regret it. 🙂
