I love Taco Tuesday recipes. Isn’t Taco Tuesday the best day of the week? I saw a quote the other day that said something to the effect of: “Eat tacos like every day is Taco Tuesday!” And I have to agree. Taco Tuesday isn’t quite as big a deal as Pizza Monday around our house, but they are still pretty regular. So, how to do you keep the Taco Tuesday from getting stale like day old Taco Bell? Here are 9 recipes to freshen up your Taco game.
#1: Fabulous Fajitas! Who doesn’t love a fajita? I mean really. Smoky chicken, sweet and crunchy bell peppers all wrapped up in a delicious sauce and corn tortilla. These make for a great substitute on Taco Tuesday. If you want to try them low-carb, swap your tortilla for some riced cauliflower and serve it buffet-style. Cook your chicken in a skillet for some added flavor and smokiness.
#2 Taco Lasagna: Hear me out, this is pretty much what lasagna was made for. The meat, cheese, beans, and tortilla combine to create a dance of flavors. Its crispy yet soft and so full of yum. This is definitely a family favorite!
#3 Fantastic Fish Tacos: If you’re in the mood to be really adventurous, give these fish tacos a try! They are lighters than traditional fried fish tacos, but are still full of flavor.
#4 Slow Cooked Pork Tacos: This is an easy way to mix up your Taco Tuesday. All you do is throw everything in the CrockPot and let it cook for 4-5 hours. What you end up with is tender, fall apart meat that is almost candy.
#5 Crowd-Pleasing Taco Salad: Talk about a fun way to mix-up your Taco Tuesday! This salad is full of seasoned ground beef, toppings, and corn chips. It’s got flavor, crunch, and full of taco toppings. What a tasty Taco Tuesday recipe.
#6 Chunky Taco Soup: This recipe is awesome in a dutch oven. It comes together in a flash and gives into your taco craving without adding a bunch of carbohydrates!
#7 Greek Tacos: Sick of taco seasoning? This is a fantastic twist on a class that adds some fresh flavors. Olives, feta, greek seasoning, and tomatoes make this dish a party in your mouth!
#8 Texas Taco Dip Platter Recipe: Need to feed a crowd? Here is your answer to Taco Tuesday recipes for a group. It’s colorful, flavorful, and easy to throw together in a pinch.
#9 Taco Bubble Pizza Recipe: Here is another take on the classic and a way to appease the pizza lovers in your house and the taco fans. Using refrigerator biscuits, tomato soup, and taco seasoning, you create the base for a fantastic dish! Do it buffet style and have people add their own toppings.
And there you have it! The next time Taco Tuesday comes knocking at your house and you aren’t in the mood for traditional tacos, opt for one of these delicious dishes. They are going to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters and meet even the most discerning palates. Here are my favorite Taco tuesday recipes:
