Swedish Meatball Gravy
Creamy, flavorful, and more than just canned soup.
- 1 c. beef stock
- 1 c. heavy cream or substitute with half/half and sour cream
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp butter
Begin by melting the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. When the butter begins to bubble, whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes while whisking constantly. Then slowly whisk in the beef broth, cream, and spices. When the sauce begins to bubble, reduce the heat to low and continue to cook until thickened, about 10 more minutes. Serve with meatballs and enjoy!
