Pizza Rolls

A cool twist on traditional Pizza, these rolls can be served as a main dish, side dish, or appetizer.

  • 1 loaf frozen pizza dough, thawed
  • ½ c. pasta sauce
  • 1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • 1 c. chopped pepperoni
  • ½ lb. Italian sausage cooked and crumbled
  • ¼ c. grated Parmesan


  • Begin by heating your oven to 400°F and greasing a cast-iron skillet. Then roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until you have a rectangle that is roughly 16"x10". Then brush the rectangle with the pasta sauce, making sure to keep ½" edge.
  • Next, sprinkle ½ cup mozzarella cheese over the top followed by the pepperoni, sausage, and Parmesan. Then roll up jelly-roll style and pinch the seam to seal it closed. Next, cut into eight slices and place each slice cut-side down in the skillet.
  • Last, sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese before baking for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve.
